Jones, Ira [Wing Commander Ira 'Taffy' Jones DSO, MC, DFC, MM July 10, 1923 - July 11, 2004] Wing Commander John Connell Freeborn DFC & Bar (1 December 1919 - 28 August 2010) was a fighter pilot and flying ace in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. He was not only an ace, but also held the distinction of having flown more operational hours than any other RAF pilot during the Battle of Britain [see his dedication]

This is for a full set of hand signed photographs for both sets of Battle of Britain photographs, 50 in one volume, and 50 in the second volume, plus an additional 4 cards which were intended for Battle of Britain Series 3, however, it did not progress any further. These four additional cards are Stanley Charles Widdows, Percival Graham Leggett, Albert Edward Gregory and Herbert Moreton Pinfold and are Number 16 of 130 copies. All match numbered with special certificate along with a specially produced Battle of Britain leather look album. Hand signed 5'' x 7'' photographs numbered 23 of 200 and certified on reverse. Accompanied by matching biography cards giving RAF career details. All in Fine condition. Heavy volumes weigh 4kg. Member of the P.B.F.A.
