Contains 200 printed pages illustrated throughout with designs for window casements, locks, letterboxes, porches, staircases and balustrades, tipped-in colour frontispiece depicting the Ruskin House premises in Rochester Row, a number of designs for stained glass windows printed in colour and tipped-in, neat ink annotations to the frontispiece leaf indicating price increases, dedicated to 'Messrs Petch and Fernand M.S.A. F.R.I.B.A. Two special typed notes mounted to the front paste down 'The prices in this catalogue are pre-war and are subject to an advance approximately as follows: August 1921', second typed note dated October 1922. A particularly Fine condition copy. In addition to the main catalogue there is a separate loosely inserted [6]pp illustrated catalogue of 'Antique Ironwork' by the same company. Throughout its trading history the firm of William T. Morris was confused in the public's mind with the firm of Morris & Co. of Liberty fame. This was a state of affairs that the former company did little to clarify and, despite threats of legal action on the part of Morris & Co., was one for obvious reasons the company was eager to maintain. William T. Morris & Company Ltd., had been established in around 1901 by William, the son of Richard Morris the owner of a glazing firm based in the Euston Road and Kennington. The production of metal casements and stained glass were the mainstay of the company's output and in this they were very successful, securing sizeable commissions here and abroad. By 1906 the fortunes of the new company had risen to such a point that William found it necessary to embark on a world tour to establish agencies in the Far East, America and Canada. Following the end of the First World War, the company was called upon to fulfill an increasing number of commissions for memorial windows, and in response to the demand for memorial sculpture, the company set up a bronze foundry. This new departure in turn proved highly successful. The company started to decline in the 1930s, when following the Wall Street Crash, commissions from America dried up.
