The Personal History of David Copperfield Dickens, Charles [1812-1870] Illustrated by Frank Reynolds [1876-1953] (Book #ID 77163) Published by The Westminster Press, London circa 1920. 1920. Hard back binding in publisher's original brick red cloth covers which has been rebacked preserving the original cloth, gilt title and author lettering to the spine and to the upper panel, pen and ink illustrated end papers. 4to 11'' x 9''. Contains [xvi] 572 printed pages of text with 20 tipped-in tissue-guarded exquisite colour plates. Corners bumped, spine cloth a little faded and in Very Good clean condition. Frank Reynolds was a British artist and had a drawing called 'A Provincial Theatre Company on Tour' published in The Graphic on 30th November 1901. In 1906 he began contributing to Punch Magazine and was regularly published within its pages during World War I. He was well known for his many illustrations in several books by Charles Dickens, including David Copperfield [c1911], The Pickwick Papers [c1912] and The Old Curiosity Shop [c1913]. He succeeded F.
