Hard back binding in contemporary smooth finest quality brown leather covers, raised bands with gilt title lettering to the spine, gilt tooling to the front and rear board edges, marble paper end papers. 8vo. 9'' x 6''. Contains 260 printed pages of text with 30 single-sided coloured aquatint plates including coloured frontispiece and engraved title page facing each other. Rubbing to the corners of the boards and spine edges, internally lightly browned, some off-setting from the plates, and with some light foxing, ink name to the second front free end paper 'George Allen South, February 18th 1821.
