Contains 260 printed pages of text with 30 single-sided coloured aquatint plates including coloured frontispiece and engraved title page facing each other. Rubbing to the corners of the boards and spine edges, internally lightly browned, some off-setting from the plates, and with some light foxing, ink name to the second front free end paper 'George Allen South, February 18th 1821.
