John Dryden [Publius Vergilius Maro (Classical Latin: traditional dates October 15, 70 BC - September 21, 19 BC, usually called Virgil or Vergil in English, was an ancient Roman poet of the Augustan period]. The Earl of Ellenborough (1790-1871) was a Tory Politician, President of the Board of Control, Governor General of India 1842-1844, with his first wife being the infamous Jane Digby.
