Translated into English by Katherine John. Colour and monochrome illustrations throughout. The photographs are mainly from the collections of the Archaeological Museum, Oslo University. The engravings from A/S Cloke, Oslo. Presentation inscription to Sir Amos Lowrey Ayre from Th.
