First edition hard back binding in publisher's original oatmeal cloth covers, red and black title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover. 4to 11½'' x 8½''. Contains frontispiece [xii] 143 pages of Dutch text followed by 184 illustrations on coated art paper. A monograph on the Dutch architect, Saendredam (1597-1665), whose buildings include De St. Catharijne-kerk and De St. Jacobskerk (Utrecht), De St. Cunera-kerk (Rhenen), and De Nieuwe Kerk (Haarlem).
