The Originals From 'Punch' Mr. John Leech's Sketches in Oil Leech, John [1817-1864] (Book #ID 39477) Published by Bradbury and Evans, 11 Bouverie Street, London 1863. London 1863. Publisher's original stiff light grey printed card wraps, black lettering to the upper panel, all page edges gilt. Quarto 11½'' x 9'' 85, i [pp]. Full-page or two per page monochrome illustrations throughout with caption beneath, priced two shillings and sixpence to the front cover. The first illustration has worked loose, and titled 'The Mermaid's Haunt'. Two gatherings of stitching to the spine are secure, however, three other stitches are missing leaving the page sections slightly open, card covering down the spine has 20% missing, light foxing to some of the pages, but the paper is predominantly clean and white.
