A translation of the Naumbourg edition, the only complete version of Dumas' work, taken from Garibaldi's holograph journals and notes before he himself revised them for publication. Garibaldi contributed to Italian unification and the creation of the Kingdom of Italy. He is considered to be one of Italy's "fathers of the fatherland". Contains frontispiece, (xv)-blank, 432 pp with 2 folding maps and 7 other full-page single-sided monochrome illustrations on coated paper throughout.
