First edition hard back binding in publisher's original light blue cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine. Quarto 10'' x 8''. Contains 147 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and photographs throughout. A little sun bleaching to the lower edges, very little wear to the covers, just a little age darkening to the margins of the end papers. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition photographic dust wrapper. SIGNED by the Author to the Dedication page 'To Richard, I hope I have managed to stir your interest in tennis, and that you will continue to play, when it is possible, back in England. With best wishes. Sincerely, C. V. Irvine. Harare, February 1st 1988.' The Author has also written on the rear flap of the dust wrapper and changed his address to Zimbabwe.
