Hurricane Jack of the Vital Spark Munro, Neil (3 June 1863 - 22 December 1930) was a Scottish journalist, newspaper editor, author and literary critic. He was basically a serious writer, but is now mainly known for his humorous short stories, originally written under the pen name as in this instance Hugh Foulis. [Front Cover Illustration by William Douglas Macleod (1892-1962) who between 1920 and 1930 worked as a cartoonist for the Glasgow Evening News].
