Ltd., Bond Street, London in full vermilion crushed cape levant morocco, front and rear covers with gilt ruled lines, the spine divided into six panels, lettered in the second and third, Persian symbol tooling to the others, all page edges gilt, ruled gilt board edges, wide turn-ins with triple fillets, stamp signed in gilt on front turn-in 'Asprey & Co. Ltd.,', brown and red marble end sheets. 4to. 11'' x 8˝''. Rubáiyát over unnumbered pages carrying the 110 quatrains of Edward FitzGerald's version, title page on Japanese vellum, with 20 intricate full-page colour plates tipped in to decorated Japanese vellum mounts with lettered paper guards.
