The poem has been printed throughout in different colour Arabic calligraphic font with art nouveau style surround. The colour scheme suggests Eastern inspiration and the artist has specially studied to reproduce the spirit of the Poem, and he has been assisted throughout by a competent Orientalist, a pupil of Professor Vambery. Hand written number 134 of 750 Limited Edition copies of the British issue, SIGNED by Pogany on the limitation page, and again in pencil on his frontispiece etched plate which replicates the colour copy of the same image. Rubáiyát over unnumbered pages carrying the 75 quatrains of Edward FitzGerald's version enriched with 24 full-page single-sided colour plates mounted upon a suitable paper within a plate marked impression. The poem has been printed throughout in different colour Arabic calligraphic font with art nouveau style surround. The colour scheme suggests Eastern inspiration and the artist has specially studied to reproduce the spirit of the Poem, and he has been assisted throughout by a competent Orientalist, a pupil of Professor Vambery. Age darkening down the spine and to the edges with small losses of leather to the spine ends and across the corners, contents in Very Good clean condition, original glassine dust wrapper with losses loosely inserted.
