Northeast Airlines (NEA), known as BKS Air Transport until 1970, was an airline based in the United Kingdom that operated from 1951 until 1976, when NEA's operations and fleet were merged into British Airways.

Rare original double-sided card covers. 8½'' x 4''. In Very Good condition. The BKS airline commenced operations in October 1951 from its base at Southend Airport as BKS Aero Charter flying a Douglas DC-3. (BKS were the founders' initials - i.e. James Barnby, T D 'Mike' Keegan and Cyril Stevens). Further Dakotas were bought in 1952. For a couple of years it flew charters and freight until 1953, when it was granted permission to operate scheduled services between Newcastle, the Isle of Man and Jersey. The Dakotas continued in operation with BKS until the last of eight was sold in 1967. The airline's name was changed to BKS Air Transport at the end of 1953. Member of the P.B.F.A.

Kenelm Edward Lee Guinness MBE (14 August 1887 - 10 April 1937) was an Irish-born racing driver of the 1910s and 1920s mostly associated with Sunbeam racing cars. He set a new Land Speed Record in 1922. Also an automotive engineer, he invented and manufactured the KLG spark plug. A member of the Guinness brewing family, and a director of the company, he lived and died in Putney Vale, and was buried at the nearby cemetery, bordering Putney Heath (Smiths Motor Accessories Ltd.,).

Obviously a descendent of the first play 'The Roman Father'. Denville was elected as the Member of Parliament for Newcastle upon Tyne Central seat from Sir Charles Trevelyan in the 1931 general election. An actor by trade, he ran one of the UK's leading repertory companies and in 1924 founded Denville Hall, a retirement home for actors in Northwood, London that is still in operation. Also SIGNED by Alfred Denville to the first title leaf 'Alfred Denville J.P., M.P., 1931'. Foxing throughout the pages, rubbing to the boards. Member of the P.B.F.A.
