First edition hard back binding in publisher's original olive green cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine, black block illustration and lettering to the front cover, top edge gilt, lower page edges untrimmed. 4to 10¼'' x 8''. Contains tissue-guarded frontispiece, xiv, 258 pp., 20 colour plates and sixteen illustrations in collotype, appendices, bibliography, index, all with tissue-guards. Some foxing to the edge of the first plate, very minor foxing beyond this, neat fountain name to the top of the second front free end paper and in Very Good clean and sharp condition.
