The Anglican Bishop of Colombo is the ecclesiastical head of the Diocese of Colombo, a diocese in the Church of Ceylon which is part of the Anglican Communion. The Diocese of Colombo was founded in 1845, as the diocese of the Church of England in Ceylon. [James Chapman (1799-1879) was the first Bishop of Colombo (Anglican), in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), serving from 1845 to 1861]. With plates engraved William Dickes (1815-1892).

Contains 151 printed pages of text with 4 full-page monochrome engravings as called for engraved by William Dickes: 'Talipot Tent', 'Trincomalie, Ceylon', 'Church at Nuwara Eliya, Ceylon', and 'Port Louis, Mauritius'. The hinges internally are cracked, age toning to the end papers beyond which the text block is clean, spine faded, rubbing to the corners and edges. Member of the P.B.F.A.
