Contains tissue-guarded frontispiece, 74, (4) pp. An extremely rare photograph of Grace's father, William Darling, the Lighthouse Keeper, the only known survivor being one in a locket in the Grace Darling Museum, is adhered to the foot of page 74, it is an oval cut photograph measuring 70 mm x 55 mm, it is faint, but clearly distinguishable with him sitting at a table with a short pole across his lap. William Darling's notes upon the sea-birds of Farne Islands - mostly about their nesting habits and number of eggs. There remains an old venue in Australia named after her. Chipping of fragments of grey paper around the spine and front cover edges.
