First edition hard back binding in publisher's original crimson cloth covers, black title and author lettering to the spine and to the front cover. 8vo. 7½'' x 5¼''. Contains 185 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrated frontispiece, ink message 'from M. Spurgeon. Xmas 1935' to the front free end paper with card adhered underneath 'To Mrs Crawley, with very best wishes from the Author's 'little auntie'. Tiny rubs to the spine ends, a little age darkening to the upper closed edges. Very Good condition book in Good condition dust wrapper with 7 mm piece of paper missing to the top of the spine, 20 mm v-shaped piece of paper missing to the foot of the rear gutter, 3/6 to the spine. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, it does not adhere to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A.
