Hard back binding rebound in modern half brown calf, light brown cloth covers, raised bands to the spine with gilt title and author lettering, new end papers. 8vo. 8½'' x 5½''. Contains [xiv] 171 [iv] printed pages of text with 36 monochrome plates throughout, fold-out colour map to the rear. Page x of the Preface has been professionally repaired with tape to the bottom edge, two of the plates with ragged fore edges, the fold-out colour map has a tear to one of the folds, pages and illustrations clean with only minimal spotting and nothing offensive.
