Contains [xv] 384 printed pages of text with 49 single-sided coloured plates on coated paper by Aubrey Waterfield, 131 reproductions of paintings and sculptures, and many in-text illustrations. Foxing to the end papers and sporadically throughout, a little lifting of the cloth to the rear gutter, slight sunning to the spine and in Very Good condition. From the private library of John Wyndham Stanton, with his coat of arms bookplate to the front paste down and SIGNED above 'John Stanton.' Member of the P.B.F.A.
