Contains 128 pp being a collection of 120 nude photographs of women by English painter and photographer Edward Piper, son of John Piper and probably best known for his contributions to the Shell Country Guides. Hand written number 238 of 1000 Limited Edition copies selected by Edward Piper's widow Prudence Piper and SIGNED by her below the limitation number 'Prue Piper', she has also enclosed a small monochrome photograph of a nude bottom with the typed message 'Thank you very much for your order for Nudes by Edward Piper' and SIGNED by her 'Prue Piper | 22-12-2000.' This was tightly enclosed between pages 58-59, one asks are the two nude images on these pages Prudence Piper? Fine condition book in Fine condition dust wrapper, not price clipped. Hand written loosely enclosed card from Wendy Chard, Middle Street, Deal 'Spoke to Prue Piper, thanked her for receipt of book 'Nudes', she thanked me and said that she felt sure the public world regard her husbands work as 'soft porn' and it was far more about drawing - Messums of Cork Street had his drawings and I could ask to see them, and the British would never accept we had a body etc. I said no.
