He founded the magazine in 1921 and was editor until 1963. Later editors included E. W. Swanton and Christopher Martin-Jenkins. [Cartoon by Charles Shaw Baker (5 January 1883 - 16 December 1976) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Warwickshire between 1905 and 1920].
