Marie Antoinette [baptised Maria Antonia Josepha Johanna (November 1755 - 16 October 1793), born an Archduchess of Austria, was Dauphine of France from 1770 to 1774 and Queen of France and Navarre from 1774 to 1792. She was the fifteenth and penultimate child of Maria Theresa of Austria and Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor]. Charles Bathurst PC (1754 - 13 August 1831), known as Charles Bragge from 1754 to 1804, was a British politician of the early 19th century.

Contains 116 printed pages of French text with engraved portrait frontispiece. The transcript of Marie Antoinette's trial by the revolutionary tribunal of Paris. The front hinge has been repaired at some point, foxing to the title page beyond which the text block is particularly clean and fresh, from the private library of The Right Hon.
