Original hand written letter by William Lee, Book and Music Seller, 7 Horsemarket, Darlington. 8¼'' x 5''. 'Sir, Your attention is particularly directed to the Distribution to Subscribers only, of the seven large and fine first class line engravings by T. Holloway, after the Cartoons of Raffaelle, at the marvellously low price of One Guinea the set. The proofs of these very plates were published at Seventy Guineas. After printing the present edition the plates will be destroyed, so that no more can ever be issued and the value of Subscribers copies must constantly increase. Messrs Day & Son state that they have already received orders for over 3000 sets of the Engravings, and that they hope to close their list for the entire number before January 1st 1860, and to deliver every copy before the end of April next. Should you therefore desire to process one or more sets, which you are earnestly recommended to secure, you are requested to send your Order and Subscription immediately to: William Lee, Book and Music Seller. Agent for the Sale of this Distribution of the Cartoons of Raffaelle.' Booksellers stamp to the top of the page. In Fine condition. Member of the P.B.F.A.
