Hard back binding in original black leather covers, gilt title and author lettering to the front cover, gilt decorations to front and rear boards, gilt dentelles, green and gilt pattern end papers. 8vo. 8'' x 6½''. Contains 9 single-sided pages of thick card stock with the poem written out by hand using green and red ink. Above and around the text is a different exquisite hand coloured illustration executed with minute detail, hand coloured title-page. 'Somewhat back from the village street stands the old fashioned country seat. Across its antique portico Tall poplar trees their shadows throw. And from its station in the hall an ancient timepiece says to all - Forever Never Never Forever'. And so begins The Old Clock On The Stairs. This hand made piece is an absolute one off book.
