Souvenir theatre programme 8½" x 6¼" 16 pp. and promotional flyer 7½" x 5". SIGNED by the author 'Spike Milligan' ivory card laid in. A play by Riccardo Aragno, based on the novel by Goncharov. Starring Spike Milligan, Bill Owen and Joan Greenwood. Oblomov was produced in October 1964 as Milligan's first serious play to an audience expecting such, it was a failure and only ran for five weeks. To save the day, Milligan ad-libbed and turned it into a comedy. It was rerun and two months later transferred to the Comedy Theatre entitled 'Son of Oblomov', this was to become highly successful. Programme with light creases and in Very Good condition, flyer in Fine condition. Very scarce. Member of the P.B.F.A.
