First edition hard back binding in publisher's original salmon cloth covered boards, blocked and lettered gilt back. Tall 8vo. 10'' x 6¼''. Contains frontispiece, (xvi), 207 pp with 17 plates, 14 text figures, woodcuts as tail-pieces. Boards sun faded, rubbing across the spine ends and corners, puncture hole to the top of the spine, pencil message to the front paste down, text block clean and without any foxing, no dust wrapper.
