Matching hard back bindings in publisher's original olive green cloth covers, black lettering to the spines. 8vo 7'' x 4¼''. First published in 1751 and revised and published again in 1758. It tells the story of an egotistical man who experiences luck and misfortunes in the height of 18th-century European society. Contains 434; 452 of printed pages of text, 8 monochrome illustrations throughout the two volumes. Very Good condition books in scarce Good condition dust wrappers with age tanning to the spines, small tears to the top of volume I, priced 4/- in pencil. Dust wrappers protected. Member of the P.B.F.A.
