Poster Artwork Designed and Illustrated Andrzej Krauze (born 7 March 1947) His illustrations have been a regular fixture in the British national daily newspaper The Guardian since 1989 [Written by William Shakespeare and Directed by Tim Albery] Jonathan Miller (born 21 July 1934) as Artistic Director of the Old Vic.

30'' x 20'' original one sheet lobby or outside advertisement blind colour poster (without any reference to the cast or the production) printed ink on thick silk art paper from The Old Vic Theatre, London. Beautifully illustrated by Polish-born Andrzej Krauze, a British cartoonist, illustrator, caricaturist, painter, poster designer and satirist noted for his allegorical, fabulous, symbolic and sometimes scary imagery. Between 1986 and 1990 he designed posters for London's Old Vic theatre, then under the artistic directorship of Jonathan Miller. We have a series of 14 of these posters which were individually commissioned by Jonathan Miller. We also hold in stock large lobby folio / foyer cards by this artist. In Fine condition. Sent rolled in a tube with end caps. Member of the P.B.F.A.

Extensive and scholarly notations, biographies and essays on the works in addition to a copy of Shakespeare's Will, and the most famous of the verses on Shakespeare including Milton's own first printed work. Fine quill name dated 1869 to the tip of each title page, light surface rubs to the corners and spine edges, gilt design to spines worn, paper clean and white with the odd spot to a couple of plates.
