Gray, Thomas [Roderic Miles Doughty Thesiger and Claudius Aurelius Elliott] Thomas Gray (26 December 1716 - 30 July 1771) was an English poet, letter-writer, classical scholar and professor at Pembroke College, Cambridge. He is widely known for his Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard, published in 1751.

From the library of Captain Roderic Miles Doughty Thesiger [1915-2005], brother of Wilfred Patrick Thesiger [1910-2003] with the Eton College Latin dedication page SIGNED by Roderic Miles Doughty Thesiger and Claudius Aurelius Elliott.
